Somewhere to stand. This is the third of the celestial background galleries, and here the balcony is the subject rather than the view: the heavenly city gallery looks at the city, and this one stands on it. Every plate gives you a floor that runs clear to the rail, a carved balustrade at waist height, and columns or an arch to frame a figure. Beyond it the city falls away, gold and pearl spires dropping through banked cloud, causeways of light running out from the balcony and jeweled arcades catching the sun. One view is kept for dusk, with lanterns lit along the rail. The clear floor is the point: a model can be placed at the rail or leaning on the balustrade in Photoshop and look like they belong there. No figures appear in the renders. Every image is rendered in UHD and finished in Photoshop. Created by Jeff Dupler, using the latest in AI technology.
