Purple Strokes is the coolest and newest of the paint galleries, formed when the color measurement found sixty one frames in the violet band with no gallery of their own. Every mark is thick wet paint rather than a flat graphic, glossy enough to throw hard highlights, with the bristle lines still raked through the body and fine spray thrown off the trailing edge. The signature of the set is the two tone work, a ribbon of polished silver laid alongside the violet in a second pass, running through about a third of the gallery. The rest goes from pale lilac through vivid violet to deep raspberry and wine, so the range reaches past purple at the warm end. Almost every frame is widescreen, for a mark that sits behind a page header. Members download the transparent PNG master, so the stroke drops onto any background cleanly.
