This is my magazine-cover series for the men, and it started as a simple question – what would these guys look like on a newsstand? So I built the whole cover: a bold condensed masthead across the top, its lower edge tucked behind hair and shoulders so the model sits in front of the type the way a real cover works, the month and year set small on the right, a barcode down in the corner. Everything else is fashion photography – shallow depth of field, high-end editorial light, and a model who knows the camera is there. The collection splits two ways, TWINKS for the younger cover, HANDSOME for the older one, and both run the full range of ages, races and skin tones.
