This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Art by Innovation uses on artbyinnovation.com, what each one does, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Cookies let a site remember your choices between page loads and visits. We also use closely related technologies — local storage and, in some cases, web beacons or pixels — and where we say “cookies” below we mean all of them.
Categories of cookie we use
Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off through the site. They include the WordPress session and authentication cookies that keep you logged in, the security cookies that protect forms against cross-site request forgery, and cookies set by our membership and e-commerce systems to hold your cart and account session.
Preference
These remember choices you have made so you are not asked again on every page. Two are specific to this site:
- Content-rating preference — records whether you have chosen “Show Rated Content” or “Show All Content”. Retained for 90 days.
- Age confirmation — records that you have confirmed you are 18 or older before viewing unrated material. Retained for 365 days.
These two are set only by your own action, are stored on your device, and are never used to identify you.
Analytics
We use analytics to understand which pages and galleries are visited, so we can improve them. This is aggregate and statistical: we look at traffic patterns, not at individuals. Where analytics is provided by Google, Google sets its own cookies and processes the data as an independent controller under its own terms.
Third-party and social login
If you sign in using a third-party account, or if a page embeds content from another service, that provider may set cookies. Our payment processor sets cookies necessary to complete a transaction securely and to detect fraud. We do not control third-party cookies; please consult the provider’s own cookie policy.
Advertising
We do not sell advertising space on this site and we do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of our own.
How to control cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies, usually under Settings > Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in or completing a purchase; blocking preference cookies means the site will ask for your content-rating and age choices again on each visit. Any opt-out you set is specific to the browser and device you set it on, so you may need to repeat it elsewhere.
You can also clear the two preference cookies above simply by clearing site data for artbyinnovation.com.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the site changes; the current version always appears on this page. To exercise a data right, see our Data Subject Request Policy. Questions about cookies: jeff@artbyinnovation.com.
