Introducing our Dark Female Art Album

Dark Female Art is the gothic side of the collection, lit by candles, moonlight and the occasional ember. It belongs to vampires and demons, and to women who are entirely at ease in the dark.

Each gallery takes a different angle on the same night, from a young vampire heir to a queen on a throne of bone and ivory.

What is inside

Five galleries, 1,392 images in all.

• Vampire Princess: a young, newly turned heir in black lace, in towers, libraries and rose gardens, 560 images.
• Sexy Female Demons: succubi and demon queens with small horns and ember-lit eyes, 375 images.
• Vampire Queens: aristocrats in crimson and violet, from candlelit thrones to a city penthouse, 202 images.
• Vampires in Black: black silk, lace and leather against gothic night scenes, 147 images.
• Vampires on Ornate Thrones: one pose and five thrones, from obsidian to coral and pearl, 108 images.

The vampire galleries are deliberately different from one another. The Princess is young and caught between fairytale and horror, the Queens are composed and imperial, Vampires in Black strips the color out, and Ornate Thrones holds one pose and changes only the room.

Sexy Female Demons goes the other way from horror, keeping the women beautiful and letting the demon show only in the details.

Every gallery is lit for mood rather than shock, with pale skin held against deep shadow and color used sparingly.

The settings do much of the work: gothic towers, moonlit balconies, candlelit libraries, cold cathedrals, hellfire gardens and a black altar among floating embers. The detail in the lace, velvet and carved stone holds up at wall scale.
