Introducing our Architectural Designs Album

Architectural Designs is an album of homes that do not exist yet. Glass villas hang over redwood valleys, round doors open into grassy hillsides, and whole houses wrap around the trunks of giant trees, each one rendered as a photorealistic concept with real materials and real light.

It is part daydream and part design reference. If you have ever sketched a dream house on the back of an envelope, this is where to go looking.

What is inside

The album holds four galleries, one for each kind of home.

• Futuristic Homes: cantilevered glass villas and infinity pools perched in redwood forests and alpine meadows, the most modern and the most dramatic of the four.
• Hobbit Homes: round wooden doors, living grass roofs and glowing leaded windows set into mossy hillsides, cozy enough to want to move in.
• Spherical Pod Homes: pods and geodesic domes standing on slender legs, glowing among misty trees like an off-grid retreat.
• Treehouse Homes: multi-level houses of curved wood and panoramic glass wrapped around giant trunks high in the canopy, with decks, walkways and warm light at dusk.

Every home is shown in its setting, so the redwoods, the meadow, the hillside and the weather are part of the design rather than a backdrop behind it. That is what makes them feel like places someone could actually live, and not just renderings of a building.

How people use them

• Inspiration boards. Architects, builders and home owners use them as mood images when talking through a style.
• Wallpaper. A treehouse at sunset or a glass villa in the snow makes a desktop you want to sit in front of.
• Stories and games. Ready-made locations for fantasy settings, tabletop campaigns and book covers, and for anyone building a world who needs to show where its people live.
• Print. Members download the full-size files, which print well for a study, an office or a cabin wall.

Every gallery can be browsed for free. Members get the full-size downloads, and there are complete galleries given away free as well if you want to start there.
