Introducing our Land Wildlife Album

Land Wildlife is the ground-level half of the Natural World album: big cats, elephants and wolves, each shown in the country it actually lives in, with the other animals that belong there sharing the frame. Muskox graze behind Arctic wolves, oxpeckers ride a bull elephant, and caiman lie in the water below a jaguar.

There are no empty studio backdrops here and no animals dropped onto the wrong continent. If you want a wildlife desktop that looks like a field photograph, this is where to start.

What is inside

Three galleries, 344 images in all.

• Big Cats: lions, tigers, snow leopards, jaguars and a dozen smaller cats on savanna, in forest, on snow and on bare rock, 144 images.
• Elephants: African bush, Asian and forest elephants at rivers, mineral pools and dusty plains, 71 images.
• Wolves: Arctic, gray, timber, prairie and Himalayan wolves from the tundra to high mountain passes, 129 images.

Each gallery is organized by region, so you can travel from the African savanna to Asian forest, the Arctic tundra and the high Himalaya without leaving the album. The light changes with the place: dust and gold on the plains, cold blue snow in the north, green shade under the forest canopy.

Every animal is drawn true to its species, down to the ear shape of an Asian elephant, the pale winter coat of an Arctic wolf and the spots of a snow leopard, so the pictures hold up to a close look.

How people use them

• Wallpaper. Every image exports at full UHD, sharp on a desktop, a laptop or a large display.
• Streaming and video calls. A natural scene behind you reads calmer and more interesting than a blank wall.
• Lessons and presentations. Natural history visuals for classrooms, conservation talks and nature projects.
• Print. The full-size files are large enough for framed prints and posters.

Every gallery is free to browse at preview size, members download the full-size UHD files, and complete galleries are also given away free. For the ocean half of the Natural World album, see Underwater Wildlife, with whales, sharks and squid.
