Introducing our Boat and Ship Art Album

Boat and Ship Art photographs vessels like portraits, with no crew or passengers in the frame. It runs from Art Deco ocean liners and warships in heavy weather to superyachts resting on glassy turquoise water.

Whether your taste runs to naval history or to a quiet harbor at blue hour, there is a ship here for the wall. Each one is framed wide enough to show the whole hull and the water it cuts.

What is inside

Three galleries, 356 images in all.

• Cruise Ships: classic Art Deco liners beside modern megaships, from Manhattan terminals to Norwegian fjords, 63 images.
• Military Ships: carriers, destroyers and submarines underway, and WWII battleships at their museum moorings, 61 images.
• Luxury Yachts: superyachts, sailing yachts and classic wooden runabouts on calm, bright water, 232 images.

Each gallery has its own weather. The liners cross open Atlantic swells and Caribbean approaches, the warships push through gray seas and stormy horizons, and the yachts sit still in turquoise bays and lamplit harbors.

The hulls are always the subject, framed wide enough to show the whole vessel and the water around it.

The featured vessels are real classes. The liners recall the Queen Mary, the Normandie and the SS United States, the naval set includes Nimitz and Ford class carriers, Arleigh Burke destroyers and Iowa class battleships, and the yachts range from modern Feadship and Benetti superyachts to Riva Aquarama runabouts at a Lake Como pier.

Every image is rendered in UHD, with enough detail in the hulls, rigging and superstructures to hold up as a large print.

How people use them

• Wall art. Maritime prints for offices, clubs, dens and waterfront homes.
• Wallpaper. Full UHD for desktops and large displays.
• Gifts. A ship portrait for a sailor, a veteran or a cruise lover.
• Presentations. Visuals for yacht clubs, travel and naval history events.

Every gallery is free to browse at preview size, members download the full-size UHD files, and complete galleries are also given away free if you want to start there. The rest of the Transportation album holds airplanes, cars and trains.
