Introducing our Free Female Art Album

The female side of the free collection opens with one complete gallery, and it is a big one: more than 300 portraits of women made around the world, released whole rather than sampled.

It is the first female gallery to go free, and more will join it here as they are released.

What is inside

One gallery so far, with more to come.

• Beautiful Women Around the World: women leaning against painted world maps on busy sidewalks, watching lamplit cities across the water at dusk, standing above turquoise coves, and close portraits where the background falls away into gold.

The light is the thread through all of it. It is warm and nearly always behind or beside the subject, so faces hold their shape and the backgrounds glow rather than compete. The set moves between wide street and coastline scenes and tight portraits, which makes it easy to find a frame for a phone screen or a wide monitor.

The scenes range widely. There are city sidewalks with painted world maps, harbor fronts where domes and towers catch the last orange light, sea cliffs and small coves with turquoise water, and warm desert light coming in low across sand and stone. Between the wide scenes sit the close portraits, where the background dissolves into gold dust and bokeh and all that is left is a face.

The paid female collection runs to six albums – Abstract, Angels, Beautiful, Dark, Magic, and Myth and History – and the free side will grow from those as more galleries are released whole.
